High things you can “climb”

There is something with high buildings in which you can get up to a point where you have a view of the surrounding area. I first realized how much more a city means to me if I’ve seen it all in one “picture” when I went up the “Euromast” in Rotterdam after living there for over a year.

In the moment it took me to see it all I was amazed by the fact that there was:

a. so much more city than I ever imagined, realized or knew there was.
b. that I could get to most of it within 30 mins. traveling.

And ever since that moment I like to be high up in things when it enables me to see a city or area as a whole, thus I was excited when one of my (ex-) employers took the company up in a hot air balloon to see the area to which our office had moved and I loved it when I could see most of Berlin by going up into the “Fernsehturm” and now I’ve had the same wonderful experience with Paris after going up the Eiffel tower :)

Thanks Deckardt for the patience! ;)

Yup… I remember standing in line for the Eiffel tower… al least 1.5 hours for the first elevator, and another hour or so for the second. But the view was wonderfull, even though it was getting quite dark by the time we got up there.
